Should I Buy The iPad Just Because The iPad Is For Sale?

If you’re not a die hard Apple junkie who will buy anything that Steven Jobs put on the market you may be wondering why you should buy an iPad.

Many people saw the signs advertising the iPad for sale” and stood in long queues over night just to buy their iPad, but seeing that you are reading this article, you probably were not one of them.

You may ask, if I buy an iPad, am I not just purchasing an enlarged iPhone?  To me, this would be like saying that the atom bomb is just an enlarged grenade! Seriously, when the “iPad for sale” signs went out the amount of technology marketing and foresight that went into this amazing product did enough to, within a few months, knock Microsoft off its long-standing place at number one and wow, now that is saying something!

Without shouting “Buy iPad!”, “Buy iPad!” slogans with billboards in front of your house, the next best way I can think of to convince you that this is the technological answer, is by giving you some facts.

1.  All iPhone applications will work on your iPad.  If you have ever had an iPhone or an iPod touch, you will realize just how much of an advantage this is. If not, spend some time on the iTunes store and get a taste of what these apps have to offer and you will find that there is something for everyone.

2.  The term, iPad for sale, is a very poignant one and the price for such a great product needs to be looked at in context as they are fantastic for what you are getting on new technology.

3.  The iPad is in fact three products in one; it’s a Kindle, an iPhone and a laptop all in one, it only weighs one pound it is a slim easy-to-use device.

4.  Used in conjunction with iTunes for downloaded movies, music and books you will wonder how you ever accessed your media without it.

The points above are not technical specifications as those can be found on any Apple site and this is merely just some of the main reasons why I feel you should buy an iPad.

So the next time you see the words “iPad for sale” and are wondering if you should buy an iPad, do exactly what you have just done by reading  this article, research it and by all means compare what you find price wise.

Yes,  I am  biased and I do feel that my website offers the best added value for a great product, and of course I would like you to buy the iPad from me, but this article is for a product I love and believe is a great value for money addition to anyone’s life and not just for my website.

I want to see the IPad not watch it!!

On the IPad website there is a video/trailer/movie/media thing, which presents the IPad in all its high technological glory. I’m not a big fan of videos about things I don’t have, I hate them, I feel like they’re mocking me and yes I really should grow up.  I have watched trailers for computer games and wonder should I go out start shooting things to see if it’s any good in real life. I watched movie trailers and wondered should I go on some adventure being chased by bad guys with patches on their eyes while driving a flash sports car. Now I wonder whether the IPad video will get me wondering or not.

The beginning of the IPad video reminds me of something I heard when I was training to be an actor, a director once said, don’t tell me show me. In this case we have various apple people in nice clothes saying that the IPad will be innovative and cool, while all I get to see of the IPad is it spinning and even then that got me clawing at the screen. They also say it will change the things we do every day, you mean I don’t have to go to work on a train or bus anymore? They then begin the good stuff describing the IPad itself.

The first thing the vice-president of design mentions is that there will be no pointing device, NO POINTY THING! Is that legal, how am I supposed to do anything on it then, telepathy?  As a man I love having things to use and play with (no laughing please). The video begins describing the apps and I literally want to start to drool but that would go onto my keyboard and wouldn’t be much fun. The descriptions are not vivid but then again it is a video so he doesn’t need to be avid, seeing a faceless model playing around with the interface is great and really makes me want to be the faceless model in the IPad video. The apps are shown one by one Ibooks, movies, news, the internet like an endless stream of stuff that I’ll love to play around with when it comes out.

A man comes onto the screen and begins describing the technical side of the IPad and saying lots of words that are not very long but I barely understand my DVD player and I am not going to start learning new words like IPS or SDK until I have too. The descriptions eventually got me to thinking this man knows what he’s talking about. His descriptions of what the IPad does are both vivid and very well supported by more faceless models playing around with the IPad and watching a dog watching a surfboard? Faceless models please get a life!

Eventually they get to the really important stuff, price. If I can’t afford I am not buying it unless I remortgage my home or rob a bank. Apparently it will be affordable and for that I am grateful and so is my bank manager. The video is a good thing to watch if you want to know about the IPad and yes I have broken my computer screen because of it.

How to play AVI files on iPad

According to Apple’s iPad tech specs, the iPad does indeed support a type of AVI video: Motion JPEG (M-JPEG) up to 35 Mbps, 1280 by 720 pixels, 30 frames per second, audio in ulaw, PCM stereo audio in .avi file format

AVI, the audio-video interleave is a container introduced by Microsoft. Motion JPEG is a type of AVI compression. While AVI in general is ubiquitous for standard definition video content on the internet, there’s no indication Apple is supporting the specific XviD/Divx codec (encoding/decoding) used by those AVI files.

iPad compatible and not compatible AVI files

Some Mac users might not that knowledgeable about video file formats. In other words, iPad supports some types of video cameras watch their AVI footage via the camera card reader accessory, it won’t let you watch downloaded AVI movies on the iPad.

Easy solution for AVI files playback on iPad

If you want to download AVI movies from the internet and play on you iPad, you can convert your AVI files to iPad friendly format. AVI files with JPEG compression is high quality, but it’s HUGE. So you can also convert avi to MP4 format for iPad.

It’s a hassle to get all the way to the end only to discover that your video file won’t play on your iPad. I recommend iSkysoft iPad Video Converter for Mac, which provide optimized presets for your iPad so you don’t need to worry about the settings for your iPad.

Does The Apple iPad Truly Make Up For All The Hype?

If you’re considering to get a new Apple iPad, you are clearly not the only one. Gizmo lovers assisted Apple reach 2 million sales of the Apple iPad after only under two months. Although we are very used to Apple’s hyped-up advertising and marketing trend, that quantity of product sales is actually quite spectacular, primarily due to the fact the iPad, when compared with the iPhone, falls into a new classification of gadgets.

But is the Apple iPad gizmo genuinely worth the (pricey) expense?

To date, organizations quite a few criticisms of the unit, numerous of which go over the “I just don’t like Apple” notion. Critics have focused on what the unit lacks, such as a camera, regular USB port, keyboard, expansion slots, and Flash performance.

Even with these so-called faults, people have to fully grasp that Apple concentrates the most on what consumers who acquire their items interested in the most of, which does not automatically equal the delivery of each and every aspect that is of interest to people at large.

In reality, leaving behind some options off the iPad is practical from a design standpoint. It looks excellent from a user interface mindset and it’s convenient to use and is a good idea from a cost and engineering perspective. And lastly commercially, the iPad has done much better than envisioned thus far.

Contrary to PC tablet computers that come with all the attributes that the iPad might possibly lack, they also come with some other unsuitable issues, along the lines of heavier weights, burdensome interfaces, and excessive fees.

Even when there are a few seriously excellent tablet PC’s out there, the Apple iPad seriously displays the right practicable convergence and physical divergence. In essence, the iPad is really a stripped down PC that has been designed to undertake a few tasks aside from that.

If you’re not entirely sold on the idea of obtaining an Apple iPad, it usually is a shrewd decision to wait until the next generation is introduced. This way, new options could be added by that time (like a camera and Flash applications) and the majority of the kinks linked to the first generation may be worked out by then.

Altogether, the Apple iPad is still an unbelievable gizmo to use to soak up different forms of media and information.
